Jacobstow Primary School and Preschool need a KS2 teacher. Our children would like a teacher who is clever, creative and inspirational to help them learn.  They would like someone who looks smart and has beautiful manners.  They want a teacher who is generous, understanding and supportive. Our children would like a teacher who is  confident, firm but fair and who has a good sense of humour.  They hope that their new teacher has talents that they can share with the children and  staff team of Jacobstow School.  Our children are looking for a good listener, who is patient, caring and kind, happy to be in school and who would take pride in their achievements.  Being brave would be wonderful, so that they can help them tackle challenging work, take them on adventurous school visits and remove spiders from the classroom!

In return we can offer confident, polite and well behaved children with a sense of humour who love to learn and have fun. You would be joining a strong staff team who are motivated and supportive of each other and enjoy coming to work each day in such a beautiful place. Our school has an inclusive, welcoming, family feel ethos, and is fortunate to have lots of space - both indoors and outdoors- which we make use of throughout our teaching.

If you are looking for an exciting opportunity to join a school that cares about preparing children for their place in the world of their futures then Jacobstow School is just the place. We would welcome visits to the school. NQTs will be considered, alongside teachers at other stages of their careers, as we want to find the right person for our children and school.

This vacancy is due to the retirement of a KS2 class teacher and the start date is September 2019.

This post is a fixed term contract for 1 year with a potential to continue depending upon numbers on role.
