Thank you to everyone who responded to the questionnaire –77% of school parents. It is very helpful for us to know what you views are and then we can try to either explain why something is as it is, or try to make changes to ensure that your views are taken into consideration. We have only counted those answers that gave a clear answer hence the totals not always adding to 100%.

The overwhelming number of comments very positive and supportive, for these many thanks.

Responses: Again the biggest area of disagreement was linked to the provision of after school clubs.  As was said last year we can only offer a limited number of afterschool clubs as we only have limited number of staff and volunteers to run them, therefore we offer them to the older children as they are most likely to take them up and they are most able to cope with after school activities after a long day at school.  It isn’t possible to have a club for Y1 up to Y6 children, the age spread is too big.  We do try to sometimes offer to the younger children and would consider more if we had more volunteers to run clubs.

We are also aware that perhaps we don’t advertise enough what we do to be a healthy school or the fact that we are a healthy School Plus School and have been for the last 6 years.  We shall try to address this in the near future.

All other comments were very specific to individual situations and/or can’t be addressed in simple general way, therefore if any parent wishes to come and discuss with me the comments they made I am very happy to talk to them to try to resolve their concerns.         Again, thank you for your support.
