The school dinners at Jacobstow School are provided by Chartwells.
They come into school to work with the children on cooking projects .
The children's knowledge of healthy foods and the part good healthy food plays in their lives as discussed with the children in these events.
The meals provided are compliant with the Governments Gold Standard for school meals and use local free range and traceable products where possible. The menu provides a three week cycle of meals which have been discussed and shared with schools and school councils within the Chartwells portfolio of schools.
A meat, vegetarian and jacket potato option are available daily along with a range of help yourself salads.
Children who have packed lunches are encouraged to eat healthily and we have a zero tolerence policy for sweets, chocolates and fizzy drinks in lunch boxes.
