Blue Base had a great day out at the Wadebridge showground on Tuesday visiting the Food and Farming day. The event is run by volunteers from local farms and food producers and gives the children a real insight into the process of farm to food.  The children were very engaged in all the activities they were involved in, from making pasties to milking cows, seeing the cycle of grain to how apple juice is pressed. Although we live in a very rural community it is still sometimes difficult for children to understand where their food comes from and how it changes from its raw state to it familiar packet; this was a great opportunity to explore those processes.
